PACIFIC COAST AMBASSADOR: PORTLAND, OREGON

As an outdoor educator, hiker, backpacker, kayaker, gardener, and nature lover I have always found my peace and my power in the great outdoors. Growing up in the green mountains of Vermont, I was raised hiking through foliage, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and trail-running in the woods behind my house. The Pacific Northwest became my home almost a decade ago, and here I have been teaching wild skills and ecology to kids and adults. I am passionate about connecting people to the land, to their food, and to the wonder of exploration and adventure. I am also an herbalist and a total plant nerd, so if you ever want to geek out over a fungus or the anatomy of a flower ā€“ Iā€™m your girl!

Whether camping on Mt. Hood, kayaking the Willamette, or making twine from nettle stems – I love sharing my passion for the outdoors with other people and being a part of a rad community of nature lovers and adventurers. Trying new things can be intimidating ā€“ especially in the often male-dominated outdoor adventure field. SheJumps provides a community of safety and support so we women can jump in, be challenged, and have the stories of others to keep us moving forward! As a SheJumps Ambassador I am thrilled to be a part of events that bring women together to celebrate our achievements, abilities, challenges and goals. Lets find our next great adventure together!
