I like to think that I joined the outdoor world after a canoe trip to the Boundary waters with eight teenagers brought me peace. There is something so simple to me about expeditions and being outside. I always have everything I need right there, and if I don’t, well I have to figure out how to get by without it. Being in the outdoors is the one place I can really BE, and BE in the moment the best.

I have a background in Wilderness Therapy, Outdoor Education, Youth Work and Biology. Through all of these fields I have found the pull to women and girls specific programming. I have always been inspired by SheJumps not only because a giraffe is my spirit animal, but also because I’ve seen the power that is a group of women and girls.

I am currently pursuing my M.A. at Prescott College and work as a guide and Wilderness Educator. I love backpacking, camping, backcountry snowboarding, stand up paddle boarding, canoeing and any adventure that comes my way. My roots and the people I love the most, lie in the suburbs of Chicago and Madison, WI. I currently live in Colorado, and am excited about the opportunity to bring SJ to my area.
