I would be the Best Boss.
If I were the boss, I would listen to ideas, encourage freethinking, and likely take a jump to put an employee’s idea to use. I would say thank you each morning and night. I would have an open door policy so anyone could talk to me anytime. I would host weekly dance parties during lunch — and make sure happy, upbeat music was playing during work hours. I would provide benefits, including dental. I would pay for a month of vacation per year, right from the start. I would include a season ski pass as a “benefit” and also offer pro deals for all. I would hold two rad retreats per year such as a hut and a canyoneering trip. I would buy birthday cakes for every employee’s special day. I wouldn’t call them employees but friends. I would provide a free vending machine with all sorts of snacks. I would purchase a coffee machine that never ran dry. I would buy my friends lunch at least once per month. Happy hour would be a must every week. I would insist on a powder clause (see photo). I would allow pogo sticks and Heelys in the “office.” I would hire a feng shui consultant to decorate the office — aka “funroom” — with outstanding energy. I would love my work place, and all my friends would, too.
I want to insist Bad Boss implement the above. I want more fulfillment and fun from work.
Most of all, I want SheJumps to be huge, so I can be the Best Boss to my many future friends.
