Michelle Parker has a pant-splitting good time at the PWACC

Comment on this Post Pro skier, comedienne, and all-around fun kid Michelle Parker, 21, had a chance to join us at the Pro Women Athlete's Career Conference a couple of weeks ago. Here's her experience, taken from her site www.michelle-parker.com. I left my house at 4 a.m. on Friday morning for the a Pro Women Athlete's Career Conference. I was thinking, "I'm going to a conference I should dress nice." So I showed up at 8 a.m. with a nice top and my jeans. Little did I know we were going to be working out. I figured I would be fine to work out in my jeans. First lunge I hear a rip. Yes, I ripped my jeans. This was a first for me. The workout that we were all being introduced to is called CrossFit. It's all about power! Following this workout session all the ladies were taken over the Fort Mason for the conference. My "nice" clothes were dirty, so I was dressed rather casual at the actual conference. There were amazing guest speakers from many different sports and different angles within the industry of women athletics. I had no idea what to expect from this conference, but I walked away with a lot more than I thought possible. Not only did I get to hang out with a bunch of amazing women, I also got to hear different perspectives on women in sports. It was a powerful conference. I'm glad that I was invited to attend. She Jumps did an incredible job putting the whole thing together. Thanks to Lynsey, Claire, and Vanessa for the invite, to Dr. Kevin Stone for being so hospitable, and to all of the absolutely inspiring guest speakers.
