Many people tell us, "I want in on SheJumps!"

First off, please make sure to subscribe to our email newsletter! This includes ways to donate on any scale and updates from all around our world!

Here are a couple of easy ways you can get involved during any season in your own area:

First off, join our brand-new social networking site built by jumper Liz Cunningham. Just click on this link, or else go to http://www.shejumps.ning.com. This is a place where you can write your own profile, upload photos, and join groups in your area. We will be taking content from these profiles to post on the SheJumps website. This will also be how we are starting our email campaign, so get started on NING today!

Sometimes it can be difficult to know where to start in writing a profile about yourself or a female who inspires you.  Therefore we also wanted to provide an outline for you to use to give you an idea of what kind of things we all like to know about new jumpers!  Just click here to check out our outline, and feel free to modify your profile to fit who you are!

If you are interested in creating a SheJumps event in your area we would love to give you all the supprt we can in fulfilling the SheJumps mission!  Begin by completely filling out and submitting this online form and we will help you progress from there!

Random Acts of Jumping

As the seasons change a lot of SheJumpers are gearing up to enjoy any number of new outdoor activities. While most of our programs are based in the Salt Lake area, we still encourage the community of SheJumps to grow beyond our local outdoor areas. This winter, we challenge you to a) carpool as much as possible to the mountain (or wherever) b) reach out to at least 3 women who inspire you to stay strong during the winter (and write about it, send it to us) c) participate in your community's avalanche awareness classes and support newbies into understanding more about snowsafety.  These and different idea are great to consider year round when getting into the outdoors.

More to come soon, but just to get your started...

We also encourage you to send us pictures or stories of any of the above actions or even a completely random one! We call these things "Random Acts of Jumping" and it usually includes just something a little out of the norm, or required you to go way past your normal "turn around time." Maybe it includes a costume and some moonlight ski touring? Maybe the Random Act of Jumping is completely un-ski related and you decided to do some guerilla gardening or enroll in a class. Either way, let us know! We'll also be posting updates of how to win cool prizes for submitting your stories and pictures to us for use as inspiration to all our Jumpers out there!

If you would like to be a Team Leader for a specific event this winter and use the SheJumps name, please email claire@shejumps.org for more information, or submit our online event request form

SheJumps assumes no responsibility for the certification of Team Leaders and/or the safety of any participants. The purpose of this program is to inspire women to be more active and initiate communities of such women in localized areas. SheJumps strongly encourages the knowledge of basic First Aid/CPR or a Wilderness First Responder certification for Trip Leaders and responsible route-finding on appropriate trails for the level of participants.
