SheJumps Snowpack Scholarship:
Cascade and Sawtooth Region
The Snowpack Avalanche Scholarship Program was founded in 2017 with Snowpack Pale Ale, a Seattle-area collaboration beer between Fremont Brewing and K2 Skis, in support of our local Northwest Avalanche Center and SheJumps.
In the fourth year of the Snowpack Program, SheJumps and the Northwest Avalanche Center are continuing to bring affordable avalanche education opportunities to adult women participating in snow sports in Washington, Oregon, and expanding to Idaho. In partnership with Fremont Brewing and K2 Skis, scholarships will be awarded for 20 women in OR/WA and 10 women in ID to attend AIARE Level 1 courses with 50% of scholarship spots earmarked for women of color.
Who can apply
Adult women (21+) and female identifying individuals, underrepresented women, and women with financial need.

To apply, click the link below and fill out an application by Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 11:59PM PST to be considered for this scholarship. Applicants will be notified by email of scholarship standing by November 29, 2021.

Fremont Brewing has supported the Snowpack Scholarship program since 2017. Their support has been essential to the success of the program.
Snowpack Hazy India Pale Ale was brewed in partnership with SheJumps, the Northwest Avalanche Center and K2. This partnership supports women in the Pacific Northwest to attend vital avalanche education that will allow them to travel safely with educated decision-making when recreating on snow.

Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC) has been a big supporter of Snowpack Scholarship program, enabling our ability to continue to expand the program through providing course leaders and curriculum support.
NWAC created a Women’s Mentorship Program which aims to support aspiring female-identifying avalanche professionals by providing concrete pathways to working in the industry.
