Kenzie Burns (she/they)
Hailing from the beauty of upstate NY, Kenzie is currently located in Madison, WI, where they are pursuing their PhD in environmental engineering at UW Madison. When she's not in the lab, Kenzie can be found chalking up at the local rock gym, shredding the slopes, or backpacking through the woods! Kenzie believes that the greatest gift is to share experiences with others, especially in the Great Outdoors. Their favorite trail snack is gummy bears and they couldn't live without their cats, Small Cat, Colby Jack, and Cheddar.
La Crosse, WI
I was born and raised in rural Southwest Wisconsin. During my graduate studies and early professional career I spent time living in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Illinois, Alaska and Hawaii. I am ecstatic to be back in my home state and adventuring with a fresh set of eyes. You'll find me outside all seasons of the year. In the summer months, I love water sports, hiking and mountain biking. In the winter, I fat bike, cross-country ski, and downhill ski. In the shoulder seasons, you'll find me doing any of the above. I also enjoy surfing (cold water and warm water) when time allows. I was introduced to SheJumps when I attended a surf camp in Yakutat, Alaska and it has been a dream to participate with this organization.
Sheryl recently relocated back to her Michigan roots after spending time in the PNW, where she fell in love with the mountains and most things outdoors. Most days you will find her playing outdoors with her 2 children, encouraging them to embrace the elements, be adventurous and enjoy the fresh air. Her passions are cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and biking. She most recently faced her fears and summited snowy Mount Baker with a SheJumps fundraising climb.
