Wild Skills

About SheJumps Wild Skills

Who We Are

SheJumps Wild Skills youth events teach young girls the survival and technical skills they need for outdoor adventuring. Wild Skills programs include: Day Camps, Overnight Camps, and Family Adventures. Specialty programs include Junior Ski Patrol and Junior Wildland Firefighting.

These skills can be applied in any season or region and include first aid, navigation, leave no trace, 10 essentials, shelter building and more. Our events encourage girls to learn new skills, take on challenges, and think creatively which develops perseverance and fosters confidence.

Our goal is to see girls learning, having fun, and connecting in an encouraging environment with amazing instruction and support from female mentors. We want Wild Skills to be an experience they will remember, one that will spark a lifetime of passion for the outdoors and will remind them that they are capable of anything.

DAY CAMPS

SheJumps' Wild Skills Day Camps are structured as half-day to full day camp experiences, parents/legal guardians drop girls off, they are split into teams based on their age and then rotate through different classes.

JUNIOR SKI PATROL

Wild Skills Junior Ski Patrol is a day camp where girls learn mountain safety and first aid while working with the strong women of the mountain community. Throughout the day, participants are taught a range of outdoor skills that are utilized by ski patrollers to keep the mountain safe. Topics include first aid, avalanche control, snow science, weather stations, toboggans, avalanche rescue techniques, avalanche dogs, and much more. There are also plenty of snack breaks, high fives, and unicorns delivering hot cocoa!

Each camp focuses on a different outdoor activity and applies the SheJumps' Wild Skills curriculum throughout.
