SheJumps Fundraising Climbs offer opportunities for supporters to climb big mountains while raising awareness and critical funding for our mission. The technical, physical, and mental challenges of climbing these mountains are an incredible way to experience the SheJumps mission first-hand.

Here’s how it works!

Sign up for one of the fundraising climbs (registration opens Sept. 19) and then connect with your community to raise money for SheJumps. Participants are responsible for paying a $500 nonrefundable deposit upon registering for the climb and then meeting the minimum fundraising amount required for the climb. Please note each climb has different fundraising minimums and deadlines.

SheJumps will provide all participants with
  • a fundraising toolkit

  • your own fundraising website/page to share with friends and family

  • connection with other climbers

  • training suggestions via the guiding providers

  • ongoing fundraising support from SheJumps staff.

  • a list of your donors and their contact info for follow ups/thank yous

  • fundraising incentives from our brand partners

During the fundraising climbs, we consciously foster a positive energy that exudes encouragement in stride with the technical, physical, and emotional challenge at hand. We try to work with women guides wherever possible, and we are proud to collaborate with some of the best guiding outfitters in the United States. Our SheJumps staff is there to support you with fundraising efforts as well.

Do I need to have any fundraising experience?

No! You just need to be passionate about the SheJumps mission and be willing to put yourself out there. Tell the story of why SheJumps is a meaningful cause, and follow our fundraising guidelines/toolkit to network in your community.

Do I need any prior mountain climbing experience?

You do not have to have any prior technical experience for the climb, but it is recommended that you are in excellent physical condition. The good news is that you have plenty of time to train ahead of the climb, and our guiding partners offer training guidelines for conditioning that will make it easy for you to be in the best shape possible. This will help set you up for success when it comes to actually climbing the mountain!

How do I sign up?

Registration for the climbs will go live on September 19, 2024!

Here are more details about each climb we are offering in 2025!

Mt Shasta Ski Descent (Waka-nunee-Tuki-wuki), May 16-18, 2025

Mt. Shasta is the second highest volcano in the United States, rising to 14,179 feet, and has been called “one of the top 5 ski mountaineering peaks in the world.” Mount Shasta is a great challenge – with over 7,000 vertical feet of climbing, there is no “easy” way to the top. With skins and ski crampons on skis, each turn is earned.  The three day format provides time for conditions assessment, route optimization, and training en route to the summit and descent.

Participants should have advanced downhill skiing/riding ability in all conditions, and at least 40+ days of uphill ski touring experience. No ski mountaineering experience is required. Prospective climbers should be in excellent physical condition and train diligently for a big challenge, as this is a strenuous climb! Prior experience with backpacking and camping is highly recommended.

  • Summit Elevation: 14,179 feet

  • Vertical Feet Climbed: Over 7,000 feet

  • Historical Fact: Mt Shasta was first ascended by a party of five women on September 16, 1856, inspiring future generations of women to climb, ski, and JUMP together.

  • Cool Feature: On a clear day, you can see the Pacific Ocean from the summit of Mt. Shasta.

  • Guide Company: Shasta Mountain Guides

  • Guide Ratio: 2:1

  • Minimum Fundraising Amount: $3,200

This three-day instructional climb and descent is an excellent introduction to big-mountain skiing and the perfect adventure for skiers who like a LOT of vertical descent.

A ski descent of Mount Baker is not only a worthy objective on its own but also an ideal stepping stone to other great ski descents and tours around the world.

This program is for very fit, advanced skiers with a great sense of adventure and at least 40+ days of uphill ski touring experience. Prior experience with backpacking and camping is highly recommended.

Mt Rainier (Tahoma), July 12-14, 2025

Sitting at 14,411 feet above sea level, Mt. Rainier is the most extensively glaciated mountain in the continental United States and is a true mountaineering experience.

This three-day instructional course and summit climb will teach you some of the basics of glacier mountaineering, including self-arrest training and glacier travel techniques. Our three-day program, via the Muir Corridor/Disappointment Cleaver on Mt. Rainier, is the most popular climb on the mountain. Our first night is spent in a private hut at Camp Muir (10,000 ft.) that’s already stocked with supplies, allowing for lighter packs on the approach. Our second night, spent in a remote tent camp situated on the Ingraham Glacier at 11,000 feet, gives us better acclimatization, a shorter summit day, and a wilderness experience as we are able to climb ahead of the larger groups leaving Camp Muir. All necessary training takes place on the mountain, giving you more time to enjoy Rainier’s wondrous beauty.

This climb is open to any physically strong beginner with prior backpacking/hiking experience; however, previous mountain experience on peaks such as Mount Baker or Mount Adams is beneficial.

  • Summit Elevation: 14,411 feet

  • Vertical Feet Climbed: Approximately 9,000 feet

  • Historical Fact: In 1890, Fay Fuller became the first woman to summit Mt. Rainier. Her achievement broke social barriers and opened doors for women in mountaineering.

  • Cool Feature: The Disappointment Cleaver route offers stunning views of the surrounding Cascade Range and Puget Sound as you ascend.

  • Guide Company: Alpine Ascents International

  • Guide Ratio: 2:1

  • Minimum Fundraising Amount: $4,800

Grand Teton (Dae Wunt), July 13-16, 2025

One of the most recognizable mountains in the country and the second highest peak in Wyoming, the Grand Teton has drawn visitors to the Jackson Hole area as long as history has been recorded. The mystique of this iconic mountain is captivating for anyone who has seen it in person. A crucible of American alpinism, the climbers who honed their craft here in the golden age went on to lead first ascents of big walls of Yosemite, Patagonian spires, and the Himalaya. Become part of its history by standing on top and join us for an amazing summit and a greater appreciation for the remarkable alpine environment only the Tetons can deliver.

This is one of our more advanced fundraising climbs. Some rock climbing experience is beneficial, but not required. The climb does include exposed climbing while roped up, so having been in similar experiences prior to this climb will help with mental preparation. One day of rock climbing skills review/instruction is included in the climb. Some snow climbing may be involved on upper portions of the mountain if late season snow persists. If that is the case, crampons and ice axes will be used.

  • Summit Elevation: 13,775 feet

  • Vertical Feet Climbed: Approximately 7,000 feet

  • Historical Fact: In 1923, Eleanor Davis became the first woman to summit the Grand Teton, marking a significant achievement in the history of American alpinism.

  • Cool Feature: The Grand Teton offers panoramic views of the Teton Range and the Snake River Valley, making it one of the most picturesque climbs in North America.

  • Guide Company: Jackson Hole Mountain Guides

  • Guide Ratio: 3:1

  • Minimum Fundraising Amount: $3,800

Mt Baker (Koma Kulshan), August 2-4, 2025

A view of the summit from high camp.

The quintessential glaciated Cascades peak, Mt. Baker provides a fantastic climbing experience for both the novice and developed mountaineer. Unlike the geographically-lonely Rainier, Mt. Baker looks into the heart of the Cascade Range for tremendous views of endless steep, snow-capped peaks. Mt. Baker offers the perfect introduction to mountaineering and is often considered the best glacier training venue in the US. A true wilderness outing, climbers carry gear to camp, spend a full day training, and summit via the beautiful Easton glacier.

This three-day instructional course/summit climb teaches you the basics of glacier mountaineering, including proper ice axe use and self-arrest skills, glacier travel, and basic rope techniques while aiming to summit. With a 3:1 climber-to-guide ratio, you'll receive personal and hands-on training with an experienced guide team. Successful completion of this program gives you the required skills for more advanced expeditions.

This climb is open to any physically fit enthusiastic novice, beginner, or advanced beginner. One day of training is included in the climb. Prior experience with backpacking and camping is highly recommended.

  • Summit Elevation: 10,781 feet

  • Vertical Feet Climbed: Approximately 7,500 feet

  • Historical Fact: In 1891, Sue Nevin, an artist from La Connor, WA, became the first woman to summit Mt. Baker.

  • Cool Feature: The Easton Glacier route provides an excellent opportunity to learn crevasse rescue and other glacier travel skills in a spectacular setting.

  • Guide Company: Alpine Ascents International

  • Guide Ratio: 3:1

  • Minimum Fundraising Amount: $2,600

NEW!! Presidential Traverse, New Hampshire  (Woban-aden-ok mountains), August 18-20, 2025

This is SheJumps’ newest fundraising climb offering! The traverse of the White Mountains (Woban-aden-ok) in New Hampshire (commonly known as the Presidential Traverse) is a bucket list hiking trip for people who want to experience the spectacular high peaks and ridges of New England. It is over 20 miles long and crests 9 major peaks over 4,000ft and several sub-peaks. The majority of the climb is above tree line, exposing us to sun, rain, sometimes snow, and of course the White Mountains’ notorious winds. Participants must be avid hikers in terrific physical condition and able to cross rugged, rocky terrain. To lighten our load, we leave the tents and cooking equipment behind and will stay at Appalachian Mountain Club huts along the way. The Presidential Traverse is long and arduous, and therefore incredibly rewarding.

  • Highest Summit Elevation: Mt. Washington at 6,288 feet

  • Total Vertical Feet Climbed: Approximately 9,000 feet (accumulated over multiple peaks)

  • Neat Fact: It climbs eight 4000-footers with 14 miles of above-treeline hiking.
