In one of the most complex avalanche seasons in recent memory, many skiers are skiing less boldly.

But strong seasons aren’t built on luck. They’re built on systems.

Alpine School offers two pathways:

If you want to walk away from this winter stronger than you started, there’s still time!

The SheJumps Alpine School, presented by Arc’teryx, is back for 2026 with two immersive, week-long courses in British Columbia. Designed to support women and non-binary individuals in building the skills, experience, and confidence to progress further in the backcountry.

Alpine School offers two backcountry education courses to advanced to expert level skiers and splitboarders. Both courses are taught by renowned ACMG women guides who cultivate a supportive learning environment and expert instruction. Whether you’re still building experience to plan your own backcountry adventures, seeking glacier and rope travel experience, or want to dive deep into snow science during prime powder season, there’s a course for you.

🎿 Alpine Development School (ADS)

Big Terrain. Bigger Growth. Welcome to Alpine Development School 2026.

📍 April 5–12, 2026 | Valhalla Mountain Touring, BC

If you’re ready to level up your backcountry skills while skiing huge lines with a supportive crew, Alpine Development School (ADS) is for you.

This weeklong lodge-based course is designed for advanced backcountry skiers and riders who want to step into leadership. Each day blends high-impact learning with full-value touring in the outdoor classroom of the Selkirks. Taught by female ACMG ski guides, you’ll cover digital navigation and route planning, terrain management and group travel, and decision-making and leadership in the alpine.

A Culture of Stoke and Support

This isn’t just about skiing—it’s about the people. ADS creates a space where learning is collaborative, confidence is built through experience, and encouragement flows as freely as the powder turns. Last year’s participants are still talking about the vibe:

There was a moment when we were all preparing to ski some amazing lines down a glacial moraine, and everyone kept cheering for each person that went down one by one… I don’t think I’ve ever been in a group that was so encouraging and selfless. The priority was always group safety and group stoke!” – Belen

ADS was bigger than just how incredible the skiing was—it was about the power women have when they come together in these spaces and how we can uplift one another to feel emboldened to reach for more.” – Elyse

I had only taken courses filled with mostly overly confident men, and I thought this trip would offer me a safe space to learn and feel supported as I gained confidence in the backcountry.” – Kat

If you’ve been feeling stuck or are ready to take the lead, this is your next step.

ADS 2026 registration opens August 6. Get on the list, grab your spot—and get ready for a week that pushes your skills and fills your cup.

🏔️ Alpine Finishing School (AFS)

Alpine Finishing School 2026: Build the Skills. Do the Work. Lead Your Line.

📍 April 25–May 2, 2026 | Selkirk Lodge, BC

Alpine Finishing School is She Jumps’ technical ski mountaineering course that is designed for advanced to expert backcountry riders who are ready to sharpen their skills in serious terrain.

Now in its 14th year, AFS is more than just a course—it’s a legacy. And for good reason. Set deep in the Selkirk Mountains at a helicopter-accessed lodge, this program delivers immersive, high-elevation learning in one of North America’s most inspiring mountain classrooms.

You’ll spend the week traveling through glaciated terrain, building and practicing rope systems, and getting comfortable with crevasse rescue, roped movement, and route finding using both map & compass and digital navigation tools. It’s the kind of training that unlocks bigger alpine goals—and gives you the confidence to pursue them safely.

AFS is about more than just skiing—its about both the community and the depth of learning that happens when you’re surrounded by skilled, experienced, and supportive peers and guides.

Alpine Finishing School is a ski camp for rad and strong women who love to ski and adventure. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to build new skills and make new friends.” – Michelle

I lacked the knowledge and mountaineering experience that my ski touring partners possessed. Spending a week at AFS, taking things back to the basics, gave me a solid foundation to confidently and safely expand my ability to adventure in the mountains.” – Jesse

It was incredibly awesome to get such a rad group of ladies (guides, staff, and participants) together from all over the place. I can't say enough about what an amazing opportunity this was and how fulfilling it was to learn amongst so many badass women.” - 2025 Participant

AFS is where technical training meets community, where you get hands-on experience with ropes and rescue systems and make lifelong connections. Spots are limited and this course fills fast. If you're ready to step into more technical objectives with skill, clarity, and confidence—this is your course.
