SheJumps most recently hosted an Indoor belay class at Albuquerque NM, local climbing gym Stoneage. We had 15 women participate in this outdoor education event.
SheJumps put on a 2 hour belay class as well as an extra hour of climbing after the class was finished.
We learned about climbing equipment and how to safely top belay someone, as well as how to catch a fall as a belayer. Women will be coming in within the next week to take the certification test so that they can climb and belay at Stoneage.
Stoneage provided us with three great instructors that split our group up to get the most practice possible and to create a really good learning environment.
We are really excited to have had the opportunity to work with Stoneage and look forward to more events and classes with them in the coming year.
