With four sold out premieres of Lynsey Dyer’s Unicorn Picnic Productions all female movie, Pretty Faces; She Jumps had a rockstar presence. At the first three back to back showings at Alyeska Resort’s Sitzmark venue, SheJumps hosted a raffle that raised over $3000 for our winter 2015 programming. The outpouring of support from the crowd in conjunction with the stoke for the year’s most exciting ski film was palpable.
It may have gone down in Ski Film herstory as having the youngest athlete table ever. With Alyeska stars ranging from 3 year old Aurora Burns to 11 year old Jazzy Golly and many in between signing posters and taking photos, the role modeling for young girls was phenomenal.
Later, in January, SheJumps hosted yet another premier of the film in Anchorage at the Bear Tooth Theatre Pub that once again consisted of a sold out crowd filled with young female athletes and SheJumpers. SheJumps gave out a number of prizes, including a pair of skis to a teenage girl who was thrilled to get out and into the park to learn new tricks!
