What a fun night that was! December 3rd marked the first SheJumps event of the season in Big Sky, Montana and boy was it a good one. Grizzly Outfitters ( the premier ski shop in Big Sky) opened up to the ladies after the doors closed for the night. All who participated were encouraged to bring in their own skis or boards to tune. The knowledgeable and experienced techs took us through simple tuning techniques to keep our gear in tip top condition. They went over everything from simple waxing and edging techniques to more advanced base welds.
With the smaller group, all the ladies were able to receive a lot of one-on-one knowledge. We had everyone from a new to the area skier who is just jumping in to the skiing world to well versed locals who do a lot of their own tuning already. Every single lovely lady there learned something to take away and had a fun time doing it. The night was met with old friends and new, healthy snacks and beverages, and a little bit of ski stoke. Can’t wait for the next one!
