Twenty five adults and 20 youths joined us for a fun and informative morning with the Girl Scouts.
Mother Nature did not disappoint with clear skies and sunshine, allowing the women to enjoy the panoramic views from Bogus Basin Mountain Rec Area.
Three rangers and a ski patroller lead the group through a 75 minute snow shoe.
We learned about animals that inhabit the area during the winter as well as some of our local snow science.
The group was energetic and eager to try a sport that was new to most, as well as gain new knowledge about ski area, as some of them had never made the 45 minute drive up!
After the snow shoe, we returned to the nordic lodge for hot chocolate provided by the Girl Scouts. It was an fun and empowering day watching women have fun while testing their physical limits and fall more in love with the place they live.
