A big part of the SheJumps mission is getting more youth into snowsports and so we are really excited to be partnering with the non-profit SkiDUCK this year. SkiDUCK is a grassroots volunteer-based nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of disadvantaged and financially underprivileged children by teaching and sharing the joys of skiing and snowboarding. Each season SkiDUCK provides over 1,000 youth with nearly 2,000 FREE days of skiing and snowboarding; including free lift tickets, rentals and lessons! SheJumps seeks to provide as many volunteers as possible for these events. In December, an event at Squaw Valley had 5 SheJumpers volunteer. In the morning most of the kids are in lessons and we were just able to ski together most of the morning. After lunch, we tried to partner up with kids and just ski around the resort. It was a great day! SheJumper, Erin Anderson has even stepped up to help run events at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows most of the season! Thanks Erin! If you’d like to get involved, please email Erin. or go to SkiDUCK.org and sign up!
