Third times a charm. In this years third annual Big Sky Lady Shred the girls showed their spirit regardless of the less than ideal temps in the morning. The week leading up to the event was 60 degrees and bluebird and was looking good for an epic spring skiing lady shred. Then Sunday hit, and a socked in peak and icy conditions could have changed the energy for the day. Luckily, like the majestic unicorns these ladies are, we had a beautifully fun day that ended in blue skies and bombing groomers.
We started the day by meeting at Big Sky Resort, grabbing snacks donated by the Alpine Motel and handing out swag from our partners at Ecolips, and Little Red Wagon Coffee. There were also discounted programs from MT Holistic Living and a FREE gold ski tune from Grizzly Outfitters ( a favorite among the ladies). Since the weather was a bit on the chilly side for leggings and tutus we had no problem taking our time booting up and chatting with all the participants.
In true Montana fashion our ski day started out, as I said, a little on the cooler side but by lunch we were eating out at the picnic tables and working on our goggle tans. There’s nothing quite like skiing in leggings and tutus to bring a smile not only to your face but to all those who come in contact with a group of girls shredding in tutus. Lots of laughs and new and old friends alike made the day one to remember. Thanks to all that came out!
