Ready to try something new and exciting? Join the ladies of SheJumps as we spend the day setting sail on the Chesapeake Bay! Don’t know how to sail? No problem! We’ll have a lesson on land to cover the basics of sailing before heading out on the water. Then we’ll spend the day sailing in small groups on 19’ Front Runner sailboats before returning for a happy hour to share stories from our adventures.
Meet us at the Fishing Bay Yacht Club in Deltaville, VA (1.5 hrs east of Richmond) at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 10th. We will wrap up sailing around 4 p.m. and kick back with appetizers, drinks and a raffle to enjoy the afternoon together.
All you need to bring is a bagged lunch, sunscreen, a towel, and water to stay hydrated. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. Bring a lifejacket if you have one, otherwise one will be provided. This event is open to all females age 12 and older. Basic swimming skills required.
