On November 29th, the SheJumps community gathered together at Peddler Brewing Company to watch the rad snowboard film FullMoon. The event was kicked off with a raffle that featured donated items from local companies and items left over from past SheJumps events. Many thanks to Second Ascent, Vertical World and Stone Gardens for donating the rad items that we got to raffle off. With an intimate group we had a really great prize to attendee ratio! This event raised $250 for SheJumps WildSkills program! Woohoo!
After the raffle and some brief technical difficulties, we kicked off the film Full Moon. The film, produced by Leanne Pelosi, features the women both past, present and future that have shaped snowboarding and continue to push its boundaries. It was a joy to see a film that was filled with women pushing their sport, sending steep gnarly lines and just have loads of fun. Needless to say, at the end of the event the snow stoke was running high!
A special and final thanks to Peddler Brewing Company who hosted this event in their beer garden. We are especially grateful for their delicious beer and that they recently installed the sides on their tent which, combined with the center heater, kept the outdoor area nice and toasty.
