Oh my, the girls sure got out at Crystal Mountain this year! A group of ladies got together on March 5th up at Crystal Mountain for some fun, smiles and friends. The forecast prior to the event was not looking too good and predicting rain. No rain can stop us in the North West through, so we were ready for festivities be that in sun, rain, snow or everything at once.
Bright colors and onesies all day long
The weather really surprised us and delivered a magical sunny, gorgeous day on the slopes. In the morning we all got together to go through registration, make some tutus and get educated about the agenda for the day.
After snapping a quick group photo, ladies broke up into groups and educational session to go ride together, learn something new and make friends.

Magical creatures skiing down powder bowl
It was great to see girls of all ages getting after it on the mountain.
Did you see a unicorn?
Along with some magical creatures.
This year working with Crystal B lot moms, we focused on getting something going for the little lady shredders – an obstacle course and scavenger hunt was set up at the base lodge to encourage little girls and their parents to participate in some of the GTGO fun.
Little ones getting after it!
At 11:30 am we met for lunch up at Campbell lodge and got to sit outside in the sun, while admiring the view of the mountains around us. This is also when we discovered that we had quite the number of magical creatures, costumes, colors and smiles around the mountain. Awesome!
After a lunch in the sun…
After lunch Ski patrol joined us near Campbell lodge for a beacon training session. It is always important to come learn or refresh your skills, big thanks for Crystal Mountain Ski patrol for supporting us every year during GTGO. Once the beacon clinic wrapped up, about 25 ladies gathered at the bottom of the Campbell lodge to go and hike the King. This has really become a set tradition for a perfect ending to a great day.
Unicorns take on the hike to the King
After some cooling down (onesies do not have the best breathable material) and a small dance party at the top, everyone broke into groups to ski down the King – the most ladies I have seen ski the King this year in one day, that’s for sure.
We made it!
Theresa, one of the Crystal Mountain free-ride coaches, brought 2 of her girl students to join us for the day – they both skied a run called “Brain Damage” off the king that day, a technical and intimidating line to look down at it. Way to kill it!
We finished off the day with some cider, beer, snacks and a raffle. The company was awesome and the stoke was high! Can’t wait for next year!
