Get the Girls Out is a national campaign to unite women as they support, challenge, mentor and inspire each other in the outdoor sports world. This event cultivates community for women to have fun, connect with new and old friends AND creates opportunity for women to share the love to ensure younger generations can continue to shred, storm mountains and develop the life skills necessary to succeed on the mountains and in life!SheJumps.org is excited to bring this event to Stevens Pass again for an amazing day on the slopes.
Please join SheJumps as we Get the Girls Out at Stevens Pass Ski Resort! On Saturday, January 23rd we will be hitting the slopes and terrain park at Stevens for a fun day in the PNW! This event is park-oriented and instruction will be provided to teach women and girls of all abilities techniques to safely navigate through the courses. Riding in the terrain park is optional.
We will also have some discounts provided on ski/board lessons AND a ski patrol beacon demo.
All ages, all abilities are welcome. We’ll end the day with a raffle during apres. Grab your friends and be prepared to meet some new ones!
Early bird cost is $40 for non-season pass holders and a $10 registration fee for everyone, including season pass holders. That means $55 total for non-season pass holders and $10 for pass holders. Schedule for the day:
8:00-9:30 Check in outside between the 2 lower lodges, look for a tent and SheJumps banner. We will have some tutu making materials for you if you wish to make a tutu. Neon colors and fun outfits encouraged.
Event tickets can be purchased in Guest Relations (Granite Peaks Lodge) AFTER you have checked in with SheJumps table. Participants must be pre-registered or provide proof of registration (eventbrite print out or phone screenshot) for the discount.
If you’d like to drop off any of your stuff, you can do so at the Summit Room in the Tye Creek lodge. This room will be reserved for us all day.
9:30 – group photo
This year we are trying something new. We will have a few (3) info sessions during the day. These info sessions will last about an hour and will be repeated after lunch to allow ladies to attend more than one session if desired. Each session focuses on a different education aspect: skiing off piste, getting into backcountry and park riding. More info on each session below.
For all sessions – meet and check in by the SheJumps registration table 5 minutes prior to start time.
9:30 – 10:30 – Session 1 (led by SheJumps)
10:00 – 11:00 – Session 2 (led by SheJumps)
10:30 – 11:30 – Session 3 (led by SheJumps)
11:30 – 12:30 – lunch, located in Summit Room in the Tye Creek lodge. We will play a ski movie clip during this time. We will have this room reserved for the rest of the day.
1:00 – 2:00 – ski patrol dog demo/beacon session at the Stevens Beacon Park at Mt. Education Center (Yurt) (led by Stevens Ski Patrol)
1:30 – 2:30 – Session 1 (led by SheJumps)
2:00 – 2:30 – Session 2 (led by SheJumps)
2:30 – 3:30 – Session 3 ( led by Stevens freeride coaches)
between 3:30-4 – get together for apres in the Summit Room in the Tye Creek lodge (same place as lunch). There will be a cash bar to purchase drinks (wine, beer, cider)
4:00 – Contest (more on this later) and Raffle. We have some awesome prizes!

Session Descriptions:
Session 1: Skiing off piste info session (10 ladies max)
Informational ride session for ladies who are intermediate riders who would like to start skiing off the groomers. All ages welcome, however, ability as described below is required to get maximum benefit from the session: comfortable linking turns on blues and some blacks in various conditions (packed powder, ice, powder) and various speeds (comfortable stopping in control when desired).
Session 2: Intro to backcountry info session (15 ladies max)
Informational session for ladies who are intermediate/expert and want to learn more about skiing out of bounds. This session will cover what one might think about when considering adventuring out of bounds, what gear to bring and will touch up on other sources one should reference before going out. We will NOT be going out of bounds during this session, we will however, point out an area where you can and talk you through what you should think about.
Session 3: Park Riding info session (20 ladies max)
Informational session on how to be safe when riding in the park. This session will cover what gear to wear while adventuring to the park, park etiquette and what are the different features present.
* To make informational sessions more productive, we are limiting the number of ladies per session. Limit is specified in the description. Please arrive on time to make sure to get a spot for a session you are excited about. Two instances of each session will be offered.
** Don’t think the session you attend is interesting to you? Feel free to leave at any time and join another one.
*** If one session is at a higher demand, we will see if we can fit another one during the day
