SNOW DAY for IWSD at Arapahoe Basin!!
Fresh flakes continued to come down from the sky, splattering our sign in sheets and making waivers a race to quickly scribble on before the pen would rip the paper. International Women’s Ski and Snowboard Day of 2015 brought new snow and new friends to A-Basin.
Meeting for the afternoon, we gathered at the base, smiles greeting strangers that were soon to become new ski buddies and took off up the chair! ABasin’s lady ski patrollers and instructors stole away and got to join in on the fun too. It was our own personal tour of the mountain and lead to soft turns and smiles all around.
It is great how quickly you become friends with other women when playing in the snow. By the second chairlift ride we were all bugging Meredith to hear the stories of her new fiance proposing when skiing the week before. We look forward to running into each other this winter and more SheJumps events to get us on the hill together.
Thanks to Arapahoe Basin for hosting us, supporting the girafficorn and all it stands for, having your staff get to partake and bring the stoke to IWSD was incredible, Happy Snow Days everybody!
