Wednesday June 28th and August 9th, a sellout group of twelve girafficorns, ages 5-12 descended upon Stonegardens in Bellevue, Washington for a morning of fun, climbing, and friends.
After a quick safety and discussion of “the rules” it was time to climb. With expert instruction by the Stonegardens staff, the girls all practiced their climbing skills both on and off harness. Stone gardens has a great youth bouldering area, complete with pirate ship, rope climbs, slides, and fun holds to practice the skills learned while unharnessed.
As confidence and skills improved, so did the heights and routes achieved. The girls were impressive showing off skills learned day of event, and at prior Wild Skills Event climbs. Snacks were taken in the party room, and breaks stretched out on the mats! A great time was had by all!
