Kayaking in the winter is cold, but it’s a great time to pick up tips and tricks in an indoor pool to get ready for the spring snowmelt! Come join us to learn the basic skills you need to get out on the river, including the most important skill of all: how to flip yourself upright if the river flips you over (the “combat roll”!) We’ll also talk about different types of paddle strokes and how to navigate the features of a river. Whether you’re a total beginner or just hoping to keep your roll sharp for the spring, all are welcome – no previous experience necessary! We have a limited number of spots available, so please register via Eventbright to claim your spot at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/learn-to-kayak-tickets-10226215887. We’re hoping to organize several more of these to give you a chance to get your skills dialed before spring, when we can coordinate a trip outdoors.
